SmartPA has appointed Stuart Wallace, a former senior partner with global accounting and advisory firm PwC, as a Non-Executive Director. The Edinburgh based admin-as-a-service BPO business has gone through a period of growth and is now moving to scale its operation globally.

Stuart, who held a number of client facing and senior leadership roles across the UK with PwC, will support the board at SmartPA to deliver on its growth strategy and on its drive to disrupt and transform the virtual PA and business support space.

Stuart recently stepped down as Executive Chair at Prydis, an accounting and wealth management firm based in Southwest England. He also recently stepped down from his role as NED at Heart of Midlothian Football Club.

Speaking on his new appointment, Stuart said:

“I’m delighted to accept the role to support this ambitious business and its talented team to deliver on such an important and challenging agenda around ethical employment in the BPO sector.”

Speaking for the board, CEO Andrew Wright said:

“We’re very pleased that Stuart has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director. We’re excited to be working with him as we continue to drive the growth of our business globally by transforming the provision of remote, admin-as-a-service BPO, while creating sustainable employment for women and young people across the world.”
