Our American-based client is an engineering and innovation leader working across multiple sectors, covering aerospace, process control, fluid and gas and electromechanics.
The Challenge
Inefficiencies were identified in the way that the client was processing new staff members into its business, as well as managing the exit of departing colleagues, across various areas including service desk, account administration and personnel.
Our client had attempted to accommodate this requirement in-house through a team of five people collaborating under a part-time job share alongside their existing roles. The client had also tried to outsource this to a provider in India but found inaccuracies with the use of written English. There were poor customer service outcomes using both methods and this resulted in additional work for the core team. The client eventually decided to utilise an outsourced specialist with HR expertise - SmartPA.
The Solution
SmartPA’s solution was to provide an upskilled and streamlined Human Resources process through delivering first line service desk assistance. We mobilised a dedicated team of business support experts to assist with the project delivery. Following an extensive and detailed pre-start consultation, the SmartPA team was selected from our talent pool according to skillset and experience in this sector and given intensive bespoke training.
The Outcome
- We managed the onboarding of new starts by establishing a lean process-driven acquisition program through our clients’ internal CRM software. By using a scalable resource with full contingencies in place for any absences caused by sickness or personal circumstance, our client is confident that any increase in tasks and demand will be efficiently and effectively managed.
