We're delighted to introduce you to Ann, one of SmartPA's fantastic Senior Business Support Executives, as we delve into the world of wellbeing at work this week. Ann has agreed to share her insights on the importance of wellbeing and how it has positively impacted her work and life.
What does wellbeing mean to you and how much do you value it?
"To me wellbeing represents a state of harmony between my physical, mental, and emotional health, where it aligns to create a fulfilling and balanced life. It's the art of feeling content, healthy, and at peace with myself. Wellbeing is of high importance to me, as it is the cornerstone of a meaningful and joyful existence. I hold it in high regard and actively invest time and effort in nurturing my own wellbeing and supporting the wellbeing of those around me."
How has your approach to wellbeing, with the support of SmartPA, influenced your overall happiness and productivity at work?
"In my opinion, the support provided by management towards the importance of wellbeing is commendable. The approach I have taken not only contributes to my personal success but also contributes to the overall success of the organisation. "I find comfort in hitting the gym, where I can unleash my energy, eliminate all distractions, and concentrate solely on my personal objectives.

"Maintaining a healthy work-life balance and overall wellbeing is crucial for a fulfilling life.
Basic steps to try and follow:

- Prioritise Self-Care: Dedicate time for self-care activities.
- Time Management: Avoid overworking and ensure you have time for personal life.

- Learn to Push Back: It's essential to push back additional tasks or commitments when it jeopardises your balance.
- Use Technology Wisely: There are many apps and resources that can help manage tasks, schedules, and stress.
- Read Books: Consider reading books on wellbeing and work-life balance.
- Attend Workshops and Seminars: Participate in workshops or seminars on time management, stress reduction, and wellness.
- Regular Check-Ins: Regularly check in with yourself to assess your balance and make necessary adjustments.
